We take opportunities to get involved in our community.
We recently took our Auto-Acquire Antenna, our 'Fly Away System' (now
dubbed the Green Giant), and our BGAN terminal to the Southern Alberta
Institute of Technology's (SAIT) open house.
We
wanted to help attract students to their amazing 2 year IT (Telecom major)
program. We met a ton of great people and rubbed shoulders with some fantastic
instructors. Reactions from high school students, returning students and
new recruits were excellent!
CNN
deploys vehicular BGAN for US election trail coverage:
Newscaster CNN has added a vehicular BGAN terminal to its mobile
mini news bureau, as it captures the Democrat candidates' progress
in the US presidential primary elections.
Having covered the results
in five states already, the BGAN terminal is making it easier for
CNN to transmit updates and reports, as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton
battle it out to secure their party's nomination. Photo courtesy of

UK first responders
choose BGAN:
Emergency responders
in the UK have selected Inmarsat's BGAN solution as a communications
back-up, in the event of disruption to terrestrial networks caused
by natural disasters or other incidents. Out of 679 UK first responder
organizations, BGAN has come to comprise nearly 100 per cent of orders.
